I hear from many people who are in desperate situations and they are looking at Feng Shui as a solution. Sometimes people tell me they have tried working with Feng Shui but nothing has worked for them. I’ve addressed these issues in a series of videos. Here’s the first one:

I really enjoyed your video The Problem with Feng Shui. I used to clean homes professionally for almost two decades. I was always surprised when a homeowner would attend a feng shui seminar and would only add ‘tools’ without the clutter clearing, and other steps for allowing feng shui to work. One lady added mirrors into her kitchen because she told me it was her wealth area. I had to laugh seeing that the mirrors she invested in only reflected the never ending pile of dishes in her sink, and on her countertops. It’s really true while ‘tools’ can be powerful, other things need to be put in place first. I hope a lot of people see this video, because I know of many who were ‘into’ feng shuing their home and then told me “it doesn’t work.”

Thank you for this comment Pandora. It is so difficult when people look at Feng Shui as a ‘quick fix’ and think that just by putting a mirror, hanging a wind chime or moving some furniture, magically their lives will get better. It really is an excuse not to look inside themselves at what is really going on. Feng Shui is a very powerful tool, but of course it won’t work if people refuse to see what their homes are really showing them. I love how you could just naturally see this play out when you were cleaning people’s homes!

Before I knew anything about energy, or feng shui I did notice certain feelings in the homes I cleaned. I was often by myself while the homeowners worked. One day one home felt so sad. I found a letter to me letting me know my services would no longer be needed as the couple was divorcing. I did love the times I came into a home and I could feel it smiling ear to ear. Usually I found a note that either the homeowner was getting married, or a new baby was going to be arriving. It was only when I began reading about feng shui I realized this can be pretty instinctive if we just open ourselves up to it!
